The past few days have been kind of strange. I’m sensing a buildup of some kind, pressure growing as I reach some breakthrough (or breakdown). It’s been very stressful.
These past few weeks I’ve been recieving new projects and been unable to work on the planned comic pages I intended to. I hope to have something to post soon. For now, have some faces for ConnectiCon.

In case the text is too small, here’s the transcript:
Emma: MEW!
Me: I swear I fed you already.
Emma: Mew.
*I leave to feed her, and Emma jumps into my seat, playing my game while I’m gone*
Me: Wha… When did I get all these honor kills?
*casts a suspicious glance at the cat*

Before I zoom out the door to see the new Harry Potter movie, I’d like to share my recent discovery with you readers. After struggling with trying to get Photoshop to do what I want it to artistically, I’ve found Sketchbook Pro. In the two days since I’ve downloaded the free trial, I’ve been able to learn and do more with Sketchook’s tools than I ever could with Photoshop. Will it take some adjustment? Sure. Alot of the tools I had come to rely on aren’t there. That doesn’t mean I can’t save the file, open it in Photoshop and tweak it.
But when it comes to drawing on the tablet, to recreating the fluid motion of sketching and doodling… I’m in love. Seriously. Check it out if you’re into digital drawing and you have a tablet. It’s really something.
And now a screenshot of Sketchbook in action, and my recent homage to the Potter saga:

Blue-Eyed Mister Butterfly
Posted in Finished Artwork | 1 Comment »
This weekend my fiance Danielle and I went to our friend’s place for a cookout and some poi. For those not familiar with the term “poi”, think spinning orbs of fire like you’re at a party with glow sticks… except the glow sticks are on FIRE. It was awesome.
While I was there I did some sketches of more goblin/pixie/gnome creatures. Once I finish the con illustrations and “Mister Butterfly”, and the storyboard for “Dinosaur War”, I should do a series of images of them. It’d be neat to depict a fantastic creature that doesn’t have horns or scales.
