I was listening to “Welcome Home” by Coheed and Cambria over and over to feel like a superhero. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s the song in the trailer for “9″ coming out this September.

Today I have the morning off. I took some asprin for my fingers (the rain is doing a number on my knuckle – arthritis YAY) and I’m getting some work done on this piece, which I’m calling “Blue Eyed Mister Butterfly”. I’m aiming for less action and drama and more whimsy in this one.

So this week I have to complete another piece on my to-do list. I’m messing with Photoshop’s tools to try to mix my style up a little and I think I’ve made some interesting breakthroughs! The how-tos on deviantArt are very useful.
Alien Versus Predator got a nice response. This week I’m doing an original work, so I’m not just a fan-art kind of guy. Next week is going to be very exciting! My to-do list has storyboards for “Dinosaur War”, as well as another finished work.
The weather is really uninspiring! Maybe I should try to get inspiration from it… draw a rainy scene or a mud monster. I didn’t get a lot of sleep last night, so I may be loopy. Still, a mud monster sounds fun.
